Update Your Look for Less (*2) Go Green
Keeping with the theme of updating your look for less via polish, another current nail trend is GREEN. If you are feeling extra frugal and want to work with the colours you currently have instructions on how to make Fluorescent Green Polish using green eye shadow (THAT WORKS) is below.

Update your Look (for Less) with Neon Nails
With the recent media coverage on unethical, unhygienic practices in Nail Salons + my commitment to a more 'frugal' lifestyle (about this here), my manicures and pedicures currently take place at home.
A big trend, as Summer 2015 creeps up on us, is the neon nail.
Word of caution is to avoid pairing this with black or white as it'll appear too overpowering, and to also base the colour (or ombre colours) on what is currently in your closet as a 'theme colour' (black again, doesn't work). For me, the theme colour is lime green.
